Saint (The Nighthawks Series, 1)

Rating: 5 out of 5.

by Lisa Lang Blakeney

“Waiting all day for Sunday Night.” Cue the music… I love football and Saint was the perfect read for a Sunday before starting the work week.

The cover is great and I understand that Saint is number 5 and it’s supposed to look like an “S” but to me, it looks like an upside-down 2. And that is my only criticism of this sweet and saucy sports romance! An enemies-to-lovers romance. Sabrina is a bit straight-laced and is singly focus on her career. Saint, well he’s a good guy he just acts like a player. Together they are adorable. Love this couple.

Synopsis: Saint is a hunky NFL quarterback. After being jilted at the altar, he has an outward persona as a player, but he really isn’t. He has a loving family and a sweet personality. Although his cockiness is a bit over the top, it suits him.

Sabrina is career-driven, and looking for a safe man, one like Saint, is just a dream. Blakeney gives us the ultimate slow burn, and it’s fun and flirty. There is a small love triangle with Sabrina’s crush on her co-worker and includes witty banter, hot, steamy passion, and a journey to success. I loved everything about this book, from the beginning to the end, and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
