Battle Scars by Jane Harvey-Berrick

Battle Scars by Jane Harvey-Berrick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Romantic realism at it’s best. Not your typical alpha male, damsel in distress military romance.

Best Quote:

“Our relationship had been born from the most desperate of situations, warmed by friendship and respect, heightened by our physical attraction, and tempered with the threat of losing it all in an explosion of dust and violence.”

How far in the past does a story have to be to be considered historical fiction? The story begins in 2016 but JHB has provided a sense of realism throughout. It was the first time I read anything that included web links within the text.

A modern couple each with their aspirations and goals who unexpectedly fall in love. An extreme long-distance relationship.
